How to Get Your Motorcycle Licence in Manitoba (Class 6)

1. Hold a licence of another class. Manitoba requires you to already have a valid licence of any other class, and be at least 16, before you can start the motorcycle process.
2. Study the official handbook. Pair it with free practice tests on the same topics so nothing on test day feels new.
3. Pass the knowledge test at an MPI Service Centre or Autopac agent. We couldn't find an official question count or pass mark from MPI. 4. Complete the mandatory training course. The knowledge and vision test gives you a Class 6M licence, which only lets you ride while you take an approved one-day training course — required for first-time motorcycle applicants.
5. Ride through the Learner and Intermediate stages. At least 9 months as a Learner: no passengers, no night riding, no towing, no drugs or alcohol. Then at least 15 months at the Intermediate stage, where you may carry a passenger and tow.
6. Reach your full Class 6 — Manitoba still requires zero drugs or alcohol for your first 36 months of full licensure.
